>On January 9th, 2010, USTRI members gathered in Lansing for our yearly Kagami Biraki and Shinnen Geiko to get the year started on the right track and to see our fellow deshi from both the Honbu and Southeast Michigan Dojo.
This year saw the four new AI students demonstrating and group teaching one of the Kihon kata, as well as our group working up a sweat while answering our yearly traditional "Questions of Death!". Many questions this year had the entire group doing push ups!
The last part of our training session included a review (and first time for some) performance of Kenshibu. Our group is currently practicing "Kawanakajima"
Good training and good times we had by all, and we all look now to our next gathering in the warmer weather in June.
